What to wear for engagement photos?

If you are reading this, it probably means you are engaged and are getting ready for your engagement photos!
HOW EXCITING!! 🥳
Maybe by this time you have your photographer booked already and your engagement session is coming next month! WOW! Did that sneak up!
Maybe you are like me and it’s hard for you to get ready for things farther in advance and much easier to get ready the week or day before. 🤷♀️ Only you know that answer. 😂
I’ve come up with some tips as a photographer and as being someone who has within the last year had engagement pictures done. 😊
Be sure to check with the photographer on how many outfit choices you have as well!

Something that fits well and you can move freely in
During our engagement session, I will have you and your partner go from sitting to standing to skipping! It would be best for you both to wear something that is easy to move your limbs in and maybe even drop it low in 😝
Also good to wear something that fits well so that you aren't distracted pulling up or down your clothing the whole time. I am going to get you two sooo entangled with each other, we don't want there to be anything distracting you two from that! 😊

A style you know looks good on your body type
The best thing that I did for my closet, was start buying clothes that look good on my body instead of trying to get my body to look good in any clothes! Dressing for your body type and in clothing that you know is flattering, will help you both feel more confident in front of the camera and, again, more able to focus on each other!
If you don't know what your body type is google 'body types' and that'll get you information to get started!
In both outfits for mine and my now husbands engagement pictures, I chose to wear pants because I like the way they look on my body and then I didn’t have to worry about anything being exposed, I could just enjoy Kevin!

Styled makeup and hair that you like/enjoy
How you have your makeup done for your engagement pictures is totally up to you! If you don't really wear makeup that often and want to keep it that way for pictures, great! If you want to practice your wedding day makeup that day, great! If you are makeup-ly talented and want to beat your face for the day, great!
Literally whatever, however you and your partner feel most comfortable and/or more put together is up to you!
And you do have the option for at least 2 outfits if you want to change into another, so remember that with whaat you do to your face and your hair. 😀

Coordinate your outfits and only one bold pattern per couple
Head to Pinterest and type in: couples photoshoot and lqbtq couples photoshoot, you can get lots of ideas based off the seasons and locations!
Also, I love to help my couples coordinate their outfits and pin down what items to choose! It's so fun and I don't have to spend my own money 😂
